Marrying a house influence to rolling techno, “Irreparably Dented” shows that Dear is an artist to watch well beyond his “Hands Up For Detroit” debut.The B-side is a reconstructed version from LA’s David Alvarado (Ovum, Peacefrog) that chugs with carnal energy amidst big drums and extended distorted vocals. Tribal in attitude by techno by default, this is a well match plate for which discerning DJs may feast.
